What is TelePsych?
Tele-psychiatry (a.k.a. “Tele-Psych”, “Tele-Medicine” or “Tele-Health”) sessions are 15, 30, or 60 minute remote sessions with a care provider via a secure video chat portal. Telepsych sessions use an AthenaHealth link that you are sent prior to your appointment when booked as a telehealth visit.
What do you need for a TelePsych visit?
- Computer/tablet/smartphone/iPad/other web device with a mic and camera.
- Cellular Data/Internet access
- Unique link sent to you via email or text the day of your appointment (no username/password is required. Just your name!)
- A private space to do the appointment
